MundaMurra Pty Ltd (MundaMurra) is a 100% Aboriginal owned and managed company, delivering rail, utilities, civil and mining services. Owner and Managing Director Stewart Drage established the company in early 2020. Stewart is a Nyiyaparli Traditional Owner.

MundaMurra was established to offer a quality Aboriginal service provider in the mining and resources sector. Drawing from personal experience working and living in the Pilbara, MundaMurra is committed to delivering quality results while providing meaningful opportunities for Aboriginal people.

    Community Engagement Specialist

    Stewart is a respected Nyiyaparli man with extensive business management experience across the Pilbara and Gascoyne regions. He has worked in mining, pastoral, and government sectors, and managed an Aboriginal contracting business. He maintains strong ties with Indigenous communities including the Banjima, Innawonga, Nymal, and Martu peoples.

    Business Development Manager

    Harley is a North West-born mining professional with extensive experience in the oil, gas and resources sectors. As Business Development Manager, he draws on his practical industry knowledge and strong regional connections to deliver solutions that support both client needs and community outcomes across Western Australia.

  • Bryce Mongoo
    Manager, MundaMurra Land Management

    Bryce is a proud Wadjarri/Nhanda man with a background in mining, construction, environmental approvals, and education. He brings cultural integrity, strategic insight, and strong community relationships to his work, promoting long-term outcomes for Indigenous Australians through connection to Country, employment, and collaboration.

    Manager, MundaMurra Power

    Adam is Manager of the MundaMurra Power division, overseeing the delivery of mine-spec hire equipment and power solutions across the Pilbara. Based in Karratha, he leads a skilled team focused on providing reliable, low-emission equipment and responsive support tailored to the needs of mining, civil and industrial clients.

    Electrical Division Manager

    With more than 16 years of experience across the mining, commercial and residential sectors, Mike and the MundaMurra Electrical team provide solutions in remote and heavy-industry environments. His expertise in project management, compliance, system design and asset maintenance Mike delivers safe, reliable and efficient outcomes focused on quality, safety and long-term performance.

    Mining Supplies Manager

    Lou is a seasoned innovator with over 20 years of experience in chemical manufacturing in Western Australia. Now heading MundaMurra Mining Supplies, Lou runs the manufacturing and distribution hub in Karratha to service Pilbara mines with environmentally friendly products, while serving as a cornerstone for local economic empowerment.

MundaMurra is funding a four-year training, mentoring and financial support program to develop the right candidates into the Pilbara business and community leaders of the future. This is a great opportunity for individuals in the Pilbara who want to expand their horizons and set themselves up financially and professionally.

The program is run by MundaMurra Pty Ltd, a 100% Aboriginal owned mining services company owned by Nyiyaparli Traditional Owner, Stewart Drage, who is passionate about providing meaningful opportunities for Aboriginal people.

About the Scholarship

The MundaMurra Scholarship Program aims to provide opportunities for individual professional growth and advancement over the four years. The Long term plan is to generate a passion for self development and contribution to community with clear outcomes both personally and commercially. Whether your goal is to become a Project Manager in the mining services sector, or an entrepreneur with your own traffic management business, the scholarship will provide the necessary skills, training, experience, relationships and financial support to make it happen.
